What's the job
  • Working as part of a team that is responsible for the uptime of data transformation platforms, as well any feature requests that are being fed in by our stakeholders
  • Building scalable and reliable Gitlab CICD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
  • Identifying areas for improvement in the current set-up, suggesting ideas to make it more stable and secure
  • Working in collaboration with data engineers, developers, and security teams; documenting standards and mentoring junior team members
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation for the platform, as well as thoroughly documenting and showcasing any new features built
  • Participating in OOH support call-out rota
What you'll bring
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataproc, Databricks and data integration workflows
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in GCP
  • Solid understanding of GCP networking (VPCs, firewall rules, Cloud VPN, Private Service Connect, DNS, Load Balancing)
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, or equivalent DevOps tooling
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or similar tools
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
  • Solid understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, service accounts, Secret Manager, organization policies).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience in Data Platform teams highly preferred
