About Information, Security and Risk

Our diversity of brands and locations gives us a unique set of challenges but we have the backing to meet them. With representation at board level and a senior leadership team who truly embrace the pressing need for well-supported ISR teams, we’re able to act as true partners and enablers to teams throughout Kingfisher. With such a variety of landscapes, your role will be yours to shape. You could be working on supplier assessments in France one day, then working with senior leaders in Iberia to identify exposure to an emerging threat the next. It’s impossible to say what your ‘typical day’ will look like, but you can guarantee it won’t be the same as yesterday.

The Information, Security and Risk vision

We have an established three-year road map for ISR that includes strategic growth areas and how we will develop our capabilities to become even more proactive in identifying and managing security threats. For example, we developed a new cyber defence capability where teams hunt, analyse and detect threats before they’re on our banners’ horizon. We have the funding and support necessary to play a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding global business. Whether its microservices, APIs, Cloud, Digital E-Commerce or Dev Sec Ops, you’ll work across a huge variety of technologies and solve the unique challenges at the forefront of each.

The Role of Information, Security and Risk

We’re a business enabler. A lot of ISR teams say that but here, it’s a reality. Seven separate banners come to us with their unique challenges because they know we have the expertise to help them. They know that we don’t just tell them whether something works or validate their existing decisions. We’re able and expected to be deeply involved in their strategy, planning and decision-making. We help them assess their risk landscape and appetite and offer consultancy on how they can build more effective ISR policies, processes and services into everything they do.

Bring your skills to the forefront

We’re trusted advisors to our banners. One part of that is technical competency. We need people who are experts at what they do and unafraid to have big ideas then make them happen. But it’s the way we work that sets us apart. We take the time to understand each banner and their challenges and explain why our solutions are best for their business. We don’t always need people with a security background. What’s important to us is that you are ready to learn what we do and passionate about communicating it clearly to others. We ‘re looking for people who can credibly influence and bring others on the journey with us.

Our business runs on data and information. Our Information Security teams are responsible for building and maintain systems that protect our businesses’ reputation and ultimately protect our customers’ data.

Cyber Defence

These teams are here to design and deliver our defences against the myriad threats any global retailer faces. With a unique physical and digital hybrid model that’s always developing, their work means our rapid growth never sacrifices security.

Governance, Risk and Compliance

Our security is only as strong as the processes that help every colleague and customer play their part. Our GRC teams identify the risks and translate the solutions into processes and strategies that deliver safe and effective security.
